In 1982, Wayne and Debbie Bryan purchased the Schwinn bike shop in College Station, Texas and changed the name to Aggieland Cycling and Fitness. Rod Wagner, the shop’s current owner, started working for them in 1994. In 1997, things took a tragic turn when Wayne passed away from a cycling accident.
In 1999, Rod, then the manager of the shop, stepped forward and purchased the store from Debbie. Shortly after, he changed the name to Aggieland Cycling and moved the shop from University Drive to Texas Avenue. In July 2014, we opened our second location on Valley View Drive.
Aggieland Cycling is a locally owned company and strives to give back to the B/CS community. The shop strongly supports the A&M Cycling Team, the A&M Tri Team, the College Station High School Composite mountain bike team, the Brazos Valley Mountain Bike Association (BVMBA), and the Brazos Valley Cyclists (BVC).
Why Shop Local?
Here at Aggieland Cycling, your local bike shop, we pride ourselves on our customer service. Not only can we help you pick out the right bike and accessories but will continue to provide service for you as long as you own the bike.
Every new bike purchased from us comes with Lifetime Basic Service where we will cover the labor on most basic repairs. Things like brake adjustments, shifting adjustments, lubrication, etc. are all covered, for the life of the bike. More information on our service can be found under the Service Tab.
We also have a trade-in program which allows you to trade in your current bike towards the purchase of a new bike. We evaluate your bike based on what condition it is in and what new bike you are considering. Then we help you get the right ride with the credit you earned from your trade-in bike.
This program is also great for when buying a kids bike. We know kids grow up fast and good bikes aren’t cheap. Buying a good bike in your kid’s size now then trading it up once they’ve gotten too big for it can be very helpful. You can avoid the hassle of department store bikes, our customer service guarantees your child has the right size, and they can ride a bike that’s well-built. We’d love to see everyone on a bike they can enjoy!
